Introduction to Technocamps

The Technocamp initiative has been devised and developed by staff from the Department of Computer Science, University of Wales Swansea.

The aim of the Technocamp initiative is to develop a series of week-long technology focussed workshops for schools and community groups.

Our key objectives are:
  • To inspire and technically empower young people interested in the computing sciences.
  • To encourage young people to consider the challenge of a career in the computing sciences.

The Technocamp initiative will also support follow-up activities, including technology clubs in schools, colleges and community centres.

We are proud to be launching our Technocamp initiative with a pilot developed in association with Microsoft

We are delighted to have the support of the British Computer Society and Careers Wales, who are both keen to assist the future development of the programme.
