Nine schools from the Swansea Bay area took part in the Technocamp Pilot Project
Bishop Gore School,
Swansea
The school's long, rich and successful history makes an immediate impact.
Founded in 1682, it is a school of great tradition but which is nevertheless
dynamic and forward-looking.
ICT is one of the school's success stories; with an innovative and forward looking ICT curriculum team fully supported by the Head Teacher Mr. P. Wilcox and the governors; the school, which boasts
membership of elite European Network of Innovative Schools is well placed in its paramount aim to fully develop pupils to the highest ICT capability that they are capable of achieving and enabling
pupils to become, through ICT, autonomous independent learners.
The school aims to create an environment, which will enable our pupils to develop their capabilities to the full, so that they may accept the challenge of living in the rapidly changing society. In
developing that individual potential the school endeavours to give proper regard to a broad range of human activity and development alongside academic success.

Bryngwyn School, Llanelli
Bryngwyn School is one of five comprehensives in Llanelli. We are the largest, with an excellent reputation built up over twenty seven years of our existence. Our motto 'Giving our best to be the best'
sets a challenge which we are proud to claim has real meaning to everyone of us. We are a very caring, pupil centred school which places the development of individual pupils right at the heart of our
day to day practice. Staff work exceptionally hard to ensure success for our pupils in all aspects of school life.
Bryngwyn School serves a mixed catchment area with some areas of affluence and others of high unemployment. Our catchment area is predominantly disadvantaged with some of the most deprived
areas in Wales. Two of our wards are Community First areas.
We provide high quality education for our pupils and this is reflected in excellent results in the core subjects at both Key Stage 3 and 4. We have been in the top quartile of performance indicators for
the past five years. Our classroom facilities are well equipped and we have excellent sporting facilities.
ICT is a priority area for development in our School Development Plan. Our ICT results at GCSE last year were outstanding!!

positively by both pupils and staff.
In recent years there has been an enormous expansion in the Community Education provision offered in the school under the auspices of the East Side Initiative, which is a partnership between
