Pan drefnodd Rhun Llwyd, athro TG Ysgol Bryn Tawe, fod ti\u0302m Technocamps yn cynnal gweithdai cyfoethogi STEM gyda\u2019i ddisgyblion, ychydig a wyddai y byddai\u2019r sesiynau\u2019n ei ysbrydoli i fynd ar ei daith addysgol hollol newydd ei hun. Mae\u2019r ysgol yn cynnal Cwrs Cyfrifiadureg Safon Uwch, ar y cyd ag ysgol bartner, ond roedd yn awyddus i ddatblygu ei darpariaeth yn is i lawr yr ysgol. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sefydlwyd y gweithdai ar gyfer disgyblion MAT Blwyddyn 9 yn yr ysgol, ac roedd Rhun yn wirioneddol obeithio y byddai\u2019r disgyblion yn cael eu hysbrydoli digon i ddewis y pwnc er mwyn iddo allu dechrau cynnal cwrs TGAU. Ymatebodd llawer o\u2019r disgyblion yn gadarnhaol iawn, ac \u2018nawr mae yna ddigon ohonynt i ddechrau addysgu\u2019r cwrs ym mis Medi 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fodd bynnag, nid dyna ddiwedd y stori. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cafodd Rhun ei hun yn mynychu\u2019r gweithdai gyda\u2019i ddisgyblion, a chafodd ei syfrdanu gan yr hyn yr oeddent yn ei ddysgu. \u201cRhoddodd y gweithdai nifer o syniadau i mi yngly\u0302n a\u0302 sut i addysgu Cyfrifiadureg mewn ffordd drawsgwricwlaidd. Roedd hyn yn sicrhau bod y gwersi yn ddiddorol iawn, yn enwedig i\u2019r merched. Cefais hefyd flas ar ddefnyddio Greenfoot am y tro cyntaf.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O ganlyniad i\u2019w brofiad, aeth ati i ymgeisio am y rhaglen Gradd-brentisiaeth ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe, lle y mae\u2019n cwblhau ei BSc mewn Peirianneg Meddal- wedd Gymhwysol. \u201cMae\u2019r cwrs wedi gwella fy sgiliau rhaglennu ac wedi cynyddu fy hyder a\u2019m dealltwriaeth wrth addysgu\u2019r cwrs Safon Uwch. Wrth drafod cysyniadau Cyfrifiadureg a\u0302\u2019r disgyblion, mae gen i \u2018nawr syniadau a phrofiadau mwy manwl i\u2019w rhannu a\u0302 nhw.\u201dThe course has improved my programming skills and increased my confidence and understanding in teaching the Advanced Level course. When discussing the concepts of Computer Science with the pupils I now have more in-depth ideas and experiences to share with the pupils.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
