Mae pedwar ar ddeg o fyfyrwyr yn rhan o'r garfan gyntaf erioed o Brentisiaid Gradd yng Nghymru, a bydd pob un ohonynt yn graddio eleni gyda gradd BSc (Anrh) mewn Peirianneg Meddalwedd Cymhwysol o'r Adran Gyfrifiadureg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae'r Rhaglen Prentisiaeth Gradd yn cyfuno dysgu academaidd traddodiadol mewn amgylchedd Prifysgol \u00e2 phrosiectau yn y gwaith sy'n galluogi'r myfyrwyr i gymhwyso eu gwybodaeth academaidd newydd yn eu swyddi penodol yn eu cwmn\u00efau. Mae'r rhaglen arloesol hon yn galluogi'r myfyrwyr i \u201cennill cyflog a dysgu\u201d, er mwyn aros mewn cyflogaeth lawn-amser wrth iddynt astudio ar gyfer gradd BSc (Anrh), sy'n rhoi eu dysgu academaidd yng nghyd-destun eu hamgylchedd gwaith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Finch, un o weithwyr EPS Construction Ltd, yw un o raddedigion eleni. Roedd ei brosiect blwyddyn olaf yn canolbwyntio ar ddylunio meddalwedd a fyddai\u2019n helpu i ddatrys problem i\u2019w gyflogwr. Mae Cyfarwyddwr ei gwmni, Jonathan Fleming, wedi dweud bod ei gwmni wedi mwynhau buddion enfawr o ganlyniad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFel rhan o\u2019i brosiect blwyddyn olaf creodd Paul ddarn pwrpasol o feddalwedd sy\u2019n ffurfio rhan o\u2019n systemau ariannol cefn. Rydym yn rhagweld y bydd y feddalwedd yn arbed \u00a3400,000 y flwyddyn i EPS mewn amrywiannau contractau a fydd yn cael eu hadfer.\"<\/em> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Mwynhaodd Paul ei hun y cwrs a'r heriau a gynigiodd: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRydw i wedi mwynhau\u2019r amser ac, yn bwysicaf oll, rydw i wedi dysgu sgiliau newydd sydd wedi bod o fudd i fy musnes a minnau.\u201d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Roedd Owen Dane Griffiths, un arall o raddedigion eleni, yr un mor frwd ynghylch ei brofiadau:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEr fy mod wedi ei gweld yn anodd, dyma'r penderfyniad gorau i mi ei wneud erioed; byddwn yn argymell yn fawr astudio\u2019r cwrs Prentisiaeth Gradd ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ariennir y cyrsiau'n llawn ar gyfer y myfyriwr, gyda chymorth gan y Sefydliad Codio yng Nghymru a Llywodraeth Cymru trwy Gyngor Cyllido Addysg Uwch Cymru. Mae'r Sefydliad Codio yng Nghymru yn bartneriaeth fawr dan arweiniad Prifysgol Abertawe sy'n rhan o'r Sefydliad Codio Cenedlaethol yn Lloegr. Cafodd ei sefydlu i fynd i'r afael \u00e2'r bwlch cydnabyddedig o ran sgiliau digidol yn y gweithlu, ac i greu'r genhedlaeth nesaf o arbenigwyr digidol. Bwriad gwreiddiol y rhaglen oedd helpu i unioni'r 'prinder sgiliau' ym maes Cyfrifiadureg yn y rhanbarth, ac mae'r Rhaglen Prentisiaeth Gradd yn hynod boblogaidd: bydd gan Brifysgol Abertawe dros 75 o brentisiaid gradd wedi'u cofrestru ar gyfer y flwyddyn academaidd nesaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae'r DVLA, ymhlith sefydliadau eraill, wedi bod yn rhan o'r rhaglen prentisiaeth gradd ac wedi ei chefnogi'n fawr ers ei sefydlu fel Gradd Sylfaen yn 2012. Roedd sawl aelod o staff o'r DVLA yn rhan o'r garfan gyntaf o raddedigion, a dyma mae'n ei olygu i'r sefydliadau. Dywedodd Brian Sullivan, Prif Swyddog Technoleg y DVLA:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Rydyn ni wedi canolbwyntio ar recriwtio a datblygu staff ar draws ystod eang o rolau mewn TG. Rwyf bob amser yn gyffrous am newidiadau mewn TG ac yn frwdfrydig yngl\u0177n \u00e2 sut y gallwn wella. Mae'r cynllun prentisiaeth yn caniat\u00e1u i bawb, p'un a ydynt yn newydd sbon i TG neu wedi gweithio ynddo am nifer o flynyddoedd, i gynyddu eu sgiliau a sicrhau y gallant ragori nawr ac yn y dyfodol.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Mae cwmn\u00efau mawr eraill fel Admiral Insurance yn cydnabod buddion y rhaglen o ran darparu DPP i staff, yn ogystal \u00e2 chynnig atebion i broblemau yn yr amgylchedd gwaith. Canmolodd Mark Marrin, Rheolwr Gweithrediadau TG werth y rhaglen i'w weithwyr:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Mae Jamie wedi gwneud y mwyaf o\u2019r cyfle i gymryd rhan yn y rhaglen gan gyflawni gradd dosbarth 1af. Rydym yn falch iawn o'r ymdrech a roddodd i'w astudiaethau wrth barhau i fod yn aelod allweddol o'n t\u00eem TG. Mae'r wybodaeth y mae wedi'i hennill wedi ein galluogi i ddatblygu ein galluoedd a Jamie i ddod yn weithiwr proffesiynol TG mwy gyflawn.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

O ganlyniad, mae'r nifer sy'n dilyn y rhaglen wedi cynyddu'n sylweddol yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf ac mae ei henw da yn parhau i dyfu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roedd yr Athro Faron Moller, Cyfarwyddwr Technocamps a Phennaeth y Sefydliad Codio yng Nghymru, yn awyddus i ganmol agwedd graddedigion eleni at waith a'u hymrwymiad, ac anogodd mwy o gyflogwyr i fanteisio ar y rhaglen a'r buddion y gall eu cynnig i'w cwmn\u00efau:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEr mai yn y flwyddyn ddiwethaf yn unig y cyflwynwyd y Fframwaith Prentisiaeth Gradd yng Nghymru, mae\u2019r Adran Gyfrifiadureg ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe \u2013 ac yn benodol ei gweithrediad allgymorth ac ymgysylltu cenedlaethol, Technocamps \u2013 wedi hyrwyddo rhaglenni prentisiaethau uwch digidol ers blynyddoedd lawer. Felly roedd gennym garfan o brentisiaid yn barod i ymuno'n uniongyrchol \u00e2 blwyddyn olaf y rhaglen Prentisiaeth Gradd pan gafodd ei chyflwyno yng Nghymru y llynedd. Rydym yn falch o fod yn arwain Cymru yn hyn o beth.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Llongyfarchodd Dirprwy Is-Ganghellor Prifysgol Abertawe, yr Athro Martin Stringer, y prentisiaid ar eu llwyddiant, ac roedd yn edrych ymlaen at eu gweld yn graddio'n ffurfiol ym mis Rhagfyr 2019:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
