Blog gwestai wedi'i ysgrifennu gan Laura Roberts o'n canolfan ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru. Mae Laura yn arwain ein digwyddiadau GiST, sy'n ceisio annog merched 11-16 oed i ystyried gyrfaoedd STEM, a'u cyflwyno i rolau sydd ar gael yn y diwydiant. Mae'r digwyddiadau'n croesawu Menywod mewn STEM i sgwrsio am eu swyddi ac ateb unrhyw gwestiynau sydd gan y merched ar y pwnc.<\/strong>..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ar gyfer Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Menywod 2021, cefais gyfle perffaith i gynnal seminar GiST gydag ychydig mwy o oomph! Roeddwn i'n awyddus i gael siaradwyr a fyddai wir yn ysbrydoli ein cynulleidfa ac roeddwn i'n gwybod eu bod 110% wedi ymrwymo i thema Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Menywod 2021 sef #ChoosetoChallenge.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae gan Nic Ponsford yrfa hir mewn addysg a thechnoleg. Mae hi'n addysgwr arobryn, awdur a chyd-sylfaenydd a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol y Global Equality Collective<\/a>, ynghyd \u00e2 Cat Wildman (gwestai blaenorol ar weminarau GiST). Roeddwn i'n gwybod o'i henw da a'i hargymhellion y byddai'n gweddu i'r bil, a chytunodd yn frwd i gymryd rhan. Roeddwn i wedi cwrdd ag Abigail Tattersfeild ychydig flynyddoedd yn \u00f4l pan oedd y ddau ohonom yn cymryd rhan mewn sesiwn hyfforddi Llysgennad STEM, cawsom i sgwrsio ac mewn byr amser, darganfyddais fod Abi yn llysgennad Spectroscopy in a Suitcase i'r RSC, Cadet yn y Fyddin, llysgennad myfyrwyr USW a biolegydd fforensig brwd. Wrth chwilio am ein hail westai, a gofyn i d\u00eem marchnata USW am syniadau, cododd enw Abi, a chyn gynted ag y clywais ei henw, roeddwn i'n gwybod y byddai'n berffaith. Mae hi bellach wedi ychwanegu darlithydd Cemeg USW, profwr Covid i'r GIG a myfyriwr gradd Meistr at ei rhestr o gyflawniadau.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn ystod y seminar, buom yn trafod dewisiadau gyrfa, modelau r\u00f4l, rhwydweithiau cymorth a heriau gweithio ym maes cyfnewidiol Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg. Bu cwestiynau gan ein cynulleidfa yn gofyn i Nic ac Abi bopeth o gychwyn busnes i'r hyn y gallwch ei wneud gyda gradd mewn gwyddoniaeth fforensig. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
