Mae Dave yn Ddatblygwr Meddalwedd yn Veeqo<\/a>, an Amazon-owned company based in Swansea. It was through his role at a previous company that he signed up for our fully-funded Degree Apprenticeship programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave initially got into computer science purely as a way to solve problems. He was working in an admin job and there were dozens of repetitive tasks being done in the office that he felt could be easily automated, so he started looking in to how to do that, and things escalated from there. He registered for the Swansea University Degree Apprenticeship programme to gain a BSc in Applied Software Engineering in 2018 and graduated in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoff rannau Dave o'r cwrs oedd y technolegau y mae wedi osgoi yn ei yrfa. Trwy gael ei annog i'w hastudio yn y cwrs, roedd yn aml yn dysgu ffyrdd newydd iddo edrych ar broblemau nad oedd yn debygol o fod wedi'u hystyried fel arall. Rhan fwyaf heriol y cwrs i Dave oedd rheoli ei amser. Mae'n gwrs llawn-amser sy'n cael ei gwblhau ochr yn ochr \u00e2 swydd llawn-amser, felly gwnaeth hyn wella ei sgiliau rheoli amser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ar \u00f4l graddio o'r Radd-brentisiaeth, mae Dave bellach yn teimlo bod ganddo set well o offer, a gwell dealltwriaeth o'i waith, sy'n golygu ei fod yn gallu gwneud a thrafod ei waith gyda mwy o hyder nag oedd ganddo cyn dechrau'r rhaglen. Fel datblygwr hunan-ddysgedig, roedd Dave yn poeni bod bylchau yn ei wybodaeth, lle mae wedi dysgu sut i wneud tasgau, yn hytrach na deall pam eu bod yn cael eu gwneud. Mae'r cwrs hwn wedi ei helpu i lenwi'r bylchau hynny mewn dealltwriaeth ac wedi rhoi'r hyder yr oedd ei angen arno i symud ymlaen ymhellach yn ei yrfa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
