Mae wedi bod yn flwyddyn academaidd ddiddorol, a dweud y lleiaf - mae cloadau ysgolion, dysgu o'r cartref a hunan ynysu wedi dod yn arferol. Fodd bynnag, nid yw hynny'n golygu bod popeth yn wahanol, ac i filoedd o ddisgyblion ledled Cymru, nawr yw'r amser i wneud penderfyniadau am eu dyfodol trwy ddewis eu pynciau TGAU a Safon Uwch. Y cwestiwn yw: sut allwch chi, fel rhiant neu warchodwr, helpu i arwain eich plentyn i wneud penderfyniadau da?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn gyntaf, beth i'w osgoi<\/strong> - penderfyniad eich plentyn ydyw, ac nid un y dylech fod yn ei wneud ar ei ran. Cynigiwch gyngor, yn sicr, ond eu penderfyniad nhw ydyw. Mae pwysau cyfoedion yn rhywbeth i fod yn wyliadwrus amdano - ni ddylai eich plentyn fod yn gwneud penderfyniadau yn seiliedig ar yr hyn y mae pawb arall yn ei wneud, neu ddim ond yn dewis pynciau a fydd yn eu cadw gyda'i ffrindiau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efallai y bydd eich plentyn yn teimlo'n bryderus - gall deimlo fel penderfyniad mawr a llethol, rhywbeth a fydd yn effeithio ar ei ddyfodol. Os ydyn nhw'n bryderus, ceisiwch ail-lunio hyn fel penderfyniad cyffrous a chadarnhaol. Trafodwch eich penderfyniadau eich hun - a'ch camgymeriadau! Efallai na fyddwch hyd yn oed yn cofio yn union pa bynciau y gwnaethoch chi na pha farciau a gawsoch chi. Bydd eich plentyn wedi cofrestru ar gyfer rhai pynciau craidd - Saesneg, Cymraeg, Mathemateg - felly mae'n bwysig cofio y bydd ganddyn nhw eisoes sylfaen ar gyfer addysg gyflawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felly, pa bynciau ddylai eich plentyn fod yn eu dewis? Y pynciau maen nhw'n eu gwneud yn dda a'r pynciau maen nhw'n eu mwynhau yw'r mannau cychwyn gorau. Os oes ganddyn nhw syniad o yrfa yn y dyfodol, cymerwch amser i weld a oes unrhyw argymhellion ar gyfer pynciau TGAU a Safon Uwch sy'n benodol i'r diwydiant hwnnw. Cofiwch, os ydyn nhw am astudio gwyddoniaeth ar Lefel A, mae'n debyg y bydd angen o leiaf dyfarniad dwbl gwyddoniaeth arnyn nhw, ac i astudio gwyddoniaeth yn y brifysgol, mae lleiafswm o ddwy wyddoniaeth ar Lefel A yn aml yn ofyniad. Darllenwch erthyglau, gofynnwch i athrawon a chynghorwyr gyrfaoedd am gyngor.
