Cyn mynd i'r brifysgol, nid oedd Lauren yn gwybod beth roedd hi eisiau ei wneud. Ar \u00f4l dysgu am Gyfrifiadureg, daeth hi'n frwdfrydig am waith Technocamps a gwneud ei rhan i annog pobl ifanc (yn enwedig merched!) i mewn i STEM.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn yr ysgol, roedd Lauren yn mwynhau mathemateg ond nid oedd ganddi ddiddordeb mewn gwneud gradd ynddi. Pan ddaeth ar draws Cyfrifiadureg mewn digwyddiad gyrfaoedd, meddyliodd \u201cdyma bopeth rydw i\u2019n mwynhau am Fathemateg ond gallaf ei gymhwyso i rywbeth mwy diddorol,\u201d felly penderfynodd astudio Cyfrifiadureg ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe, heb unrhyw syniad beth fyddai fel.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mwynhaodd Lauren bob agwedd ar y radd a phan glywodd am waith Technocamps, roedd hi'n awyddus i gymryd rhan. Nid oedd hi erioed wedi clywed am Gyfrifiadura na Chyfrifiadureg gan nad oedd yn cael ei gynnig yn yr ysgol, felly pan gafodd y cyfle i weithio gyda Technocamps, roedd hi eisiau cynnig y cyfle yr oedd hi\u2019n dymuno ei gael i blant. Trwy Technocamps, cafodd Lauren gyfle i ddysgu plant o bob oed am Gyfrifiadureg, am sut mae mwy iddo nag ysgrifennu cod, ac am feddwl cyfrifiadurol a datrys problemau. Cafodd gyfle hefyd i fynychu llawer o ddigwyddiadau Merched mewn Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg (GiST<\/a>a grwpiau Girlguiding a bod yn fodel r\u00f4l mewn STEM nad oedd hi wedi ei gael. Mwynhaodd Lauren weld pa mor ysbrydoledig a gweithgar oedd y merched, a ysgogodd hyn iddi wneud mwy. Mae cyfrifiadureg yn bwnc pwysig i\u2019w ddysgu o bob oed, ac mae\u2019n bwysig i blant ddeall sut i ddefnyddio cyfrifiaduron yn effeithiol ac yn ddiogel i wella agweddau o\u2019u dysgu. Rydyn ni'n byw mewn byd digidol sy'n datblygu'n gyflym felly mae Lauren yn deall pwysigrwydd plant yn deall meddwl cyfrifiadurol a'i ddefnyddio yn ei gyfanrwydd o'u haddysg i roi'r sgiliau sydd eu hangen arnyn nhw i fynd i'r byd gwaith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn ystod ei chyfnod fel Swyddog Addysgu Technocamps, sefydlodd Lauren y Rhaglen Llysgenhadon, sy\u2019n galluogi myfyrwyr i fod ynrhan o Technocamps ochr yn ochr \u00e2\u2019u hastudiaethau. Mae rhan o'u r\u00f4l yn cynnwys cynorthwyo mewn gweithdai a chreu adnoddau ychwanegol. Mae\u2019r llysgenhadon wedi bod yn gefnogaeth fawr i Technocamps ac mae\u2019n wych cael cymaint o fodelau r\u00f4l gyda llwybrau amrywiol i mewn i Gyfrifiadureg yn cymell ac yn ysbrydoli plant.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn Technocamps, cafodd Lauren y cyfle i ddysgu modiwl Diogelwch Cyfrifiadurol ar y rhaglen Gradd-brentisiaeth. Mae seiberddiogelwch wedi bod yn bwnc o ddiddordeb iddi erioed, ac roedd gallu rhannu\u2019r wybodaeth a\u2019r brwdfrydedd hwn am y pwnc gyda phobl eraill wedi bod yn ddefnyddiol iawn. Fodd bynnag, roedd hyn, ynghyd ag addysgu mewn ysgolion, yn dangos i Lauren y diffyg gwybodaeth gyffredin sydd am seiberddiogelwch a sut i gadw'n ddiogel, a phwysigrwydd rhaglenni fel Technocamps.
