Mynychodd Laura Roberts, Cydlynydd ein Canolfan ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru, Ysgol Gynradd Herbert Thompson yn ddiweddar Cwtch<\/em> group to deliver a series of exciting and interactive lessons with a small group of learners who require an ‘alternative curriculum’ in a different environment due to a range of additional learning needs and low engagement with education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group, made up of Year 6 and Year 4 males, has been part of a 12-week plan to incorporate a range of STEM activities to ignite pupils\u2019 interest, develop their skills and challenge their ideas and creativity using a range of resources and approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyd yn hyn, rydyn ni wedi ymdrin \u00e2 meddwl cyfrifiadurol, cyfrifiaduron a chodio a chyflwynwyd y gr\u0175p i Scratch Junior felly maen nhw wedi cael cyfle i ddysgu am algorithmau gan drosglwyddo eu dealltwriaeth i greu ystod o gyfarwyddiadau gan ddefnyddio codio i berffeithio cywirdeb eu dewisiadau. Fe wnaethon ni hefyd gwblhau her roboteg LEGO gan ddefnyddio LEGO Education SPIKE Prime ochr yn ochr \u00e2\u2019r ap i ddilyn cyfres o gyfarwyddiadau gweledol i adeiladu a rhaglennu amrywiaeth o robotiaid gan ddefnyddio algorithmau cywir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dywedodd yr athrawes Miriam Pullin o Ysgol Gynradd Herbert Thompson, \u201cMae\u2019r meysydd yr ymdriniwyd \u00e2 nhw hyd yma wedi bod yn gyffrous ac yn heriol i\u2019r disgyblion (ac oedolion!). Mae gweithio gyda Laura wedi rhoi\u2019r cyfle i ni ddefnyddio adnoddau o safon i greu a datblygu ystod eang o sgiliau STEM. Mae Laura wedi ymddiried yn garedig ynom i gadw rhai adnoddau ac offer rhwng ei hymweliadau i ymarfer ac atgyfnerthu ein sgiliau cyn y sesiwn nesaf. Rydym wedi bod yn ddiolchgar iawn am hyn.
