We are proud and privileged to continue our long-term relationship with Swansea’s DVLA and once again sponsored their annual ‘Code Challenge’ competition.

The competition is open to both primary and secondary schools who work in teams to rise to the challenge of using coding to produce apps, games, webpages, etc. This year’s challenges included designing a game to keep children safe online, creating an app to fight superbugs in hospitals, and our very own ‘Disaster Droid’ challenge where the teams are asked to create a robot to help at times of environmental disaster.

The competition culminated in a spectacular prize-giving ceremony with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes being awarded to the top performing schools. On hand to host the ceremony, BBC presenter Sian Lloyd was impressed with the standard of entries. Technocamps Project Manager Julie Walters was also asked to judge the entries, putting her expert knowledge to good use.
