We kicked off the October half-term with another fantastic weekend at the Swansea Science Festival. Thousands of visitors poured in to enjoy two days filled with hands-on exhibits, interactive experiments, and engaging workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technocamps was once again thrilled to be part of this fantastic family-focused event, showcasing a mix of brand-new and much-loved activities. Our Rubik\u2019s Cube-solving robot returned to the spotlight, going head-to-head with human challengers, and was impressively beaten by one visitor who managed to solve two Rubik\u2019s Cubes in the time it took the robot to solve just one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohbot, the talking robot, made its debut as a Welsh steam train driver from the 1940s, impressing audiences with fascinating historical facts, proving a huge hit with both children and adults. Our cryptography puzzles also drew in families eager to test their problem-solving skills and crack the codes to win prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New to our lineup this year was Electricycle, an exciting interactive activity where participants pedalled a bike to generate electricity and power its lights. Visitors loved seeing the energy they created in real-time, making it a fun and educational experience for all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The railway table also returned, allowing children to explore the principles of railway safety and collision prevention while adults learned more about its real-world engineering applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was another incredible weekend celebrating science, creativity, and curiosity. We were delighted to meet so many enthusiastic families and to share our passion for technology and innovation. Diolch, Swansea Science Festival and to everyone who popped by!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
