The Technocamps <\/strong>team was privileged to have been invited to participate in Super Science Sunday<\/strong>, organised by Swansea University<\/strong><\/a>‘s Oriel Science<\/a><\/strong> project as part of British Science Week 2019<\/strong><\/a>.  Visitors at the event taking place in the wonderful surroundings of the National Waterfront Museum<\/a><\/strong> in Swansea, were treated to a huge range of interactive science exhibits and were given the opportunity to explore current research with talks from special guests throughout the day.  It was a fantastic event with lots of different STEM<\/strong>-related activities to see and do, aimed particularly at families and children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On hand throughout the day to represent the Technocamps <\/strong>programme, Delivery Officer Luke Clements <\/strong>was pleased that the event attracted over 3000 visitors over the course of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt’s always pleasing to see the excitement on so many young faces when they succeed in solving the puzzles and programme robots to complete tasks. Our BB-8 Sphero robot was a particular crowd-pleaser!\u201d<\/em><\/p>Luke Clements<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The team was able to show off its state-of-the-art robotics technology, combined with hands-on demonstrations of some of the programmes that Technocamps<\/strong> offers for schools and young people throughout Wales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also on display was the Model Railway, which offers a fun and interactive experience that helps to demonstrate the cutting-edge research undertaken by the Swansea Railway Verification Group<\/a>, a project that is supported by Technocamps<\/strong>. This will be exhibited next at the Swansea Science Festival<\/a><\/strong> in November 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
