The Technocamps 2018-2019 Tuesday<\/strong> or Thursday<\/strong> After School Coding Club starts January<\/strong> and will continue every Tuesday\/Thursday afternoon <\/strong>during school term time<\/strong> in the Technocamps Delivery Room, Singleton Campus (Further specific direction to the delivery room will be provided upon slot confirmation). <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Technocamps Coding Club, a wide range of computing topics will be will be covered making use of a variety of programming languages such as Greenfoot, Logo, Python, BBC micro:bit, Scratch, Lego Mindstorm and also some fun and practical theory based Computational Thinking sessions. We welcome children from the ages of 7 to 16. <\/strong>The Technocamps Coding Club is free and it is not a requirement for the child(ren) to know or have any prior knowledge or experience in coding\/programming to join the club. They also do not need to bring any equipment or devices as it will all be provided. Attached to the bottom of this article is the Spring Term Calendar for the club<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The format of the club is divided into two <\/strong>separated<\/strong> time slots<\/strong>, either the 16:00-17:00 or 17:00-18:00<\/strong>. Although the starting time of the clubs are different, they are in no way delivered differently, <\/strong>this is just to accommodate the sheer number of pupils who wish to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To register<\/strong> your child for the club, you must<\/strong> complete the form using the link below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have more than one child<\/strong> to register, please complete the form separately for each child attending. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Places will be on a first come, first served basis<\/strong> with 25 places available in each session. I will notify you whether a place has been secured for your child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please do not fret if your child(ren) did not receive a slot with us<\/strong>. We will be adding them to the waiting list<\/strong> where your child(ren) will be the first to be contacted when available spaces appears. This may happen quite frequently due to children coming in to the first few sessions and deciding that it is not for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, further information such as directions to the club etc. will be given upon acquiring a slot into the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
