During this Autumn school term, over 2,000 pupils from Primary schools across south Wales have been taking part in Science workshops delivered by Technocamps. The workshops are aimed to discuss Scientific concepts that the children will encounter when they attend the Eye of the Storm production from theatre na n\u00d3g in association with Taliesin Art Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The musical play features original songs written by Grammy Award Winner Amy Wadge (Thinking Out Loud with Ed Sheeran) and follows the story of Emmie who is torn between following her dreams of being a scientist and caring for her mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emmie\u2019s passion for science and fascination with tornados, combined with the educational workshops delivered by Technocamps offers an effective, visual and enjoyable method of introducing Welsh pupils to the world of Science and Technology, not only developing their programming skills and scientific knowledge, but also their appreciation for the performing arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This collaboration has offered schools a unique way to introduce the new Digital Competency Framework and has received very positive feedback from both the pupils and their teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
