And the winner is…<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our recent competition, in partnership with Energy Saving Trust and NEST, asked pupils to design their own game, using any programming software, that would make a house more environmentally-friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Place<\/strong>: Spuddy and Co (Adam, Ethan, Leo, Cerys), St Martin’s Comprehensive School
Second Place<\/strong>: Team Penguin (Tilda and Oscar), homeschooled
Third Place<\/strong>: Tech & Co (Jack, Dawid and Jack), Milford Haven School<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning game will be published on the Energy Saving Trust<\/a> website and the winners received a \u00a3100 One4All<\/a> voucher for themselves and \u00a32,000 for their school to spend on equipment. The first runners-up each received a \u00a325 voucher for themselves and \u00a31,000 for a charity of their choice, while the team who came in third won a \u00a310 voucher each, as well as \u00a3500 for their school. All other entrants also received a \u00a310 voucher for their time, effort, engagement and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entries were judged on:<\/strong>
1. Following the Brief<\/strong> \u2013 Does the game promote saving energy?
2. Originality<\/strong> \u2013 Is the game unique?
3. Experience<\/strong> \u2013 Does the game make us want to play it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
