Tell us a little about yourself and your work.

I work at Swansea University as an Assessment and Awards Officer. My role specifically involves monitoring, overseeing, and providing guidance on academic integrity and academic misconduct, including procedures, processes, and training.

How did you get started working with Technocamps?

I saw the courses advertised on the Swansea University Yammer feed.

Which part of the work with Technocamps has been most beneficial for you, and why?

I have completed the Excel and GenAI courses—both have been excellent and very informative. I feel more confident and will be able to incorporate much of what I have learned into my work and personal life.

How do you think the skills and knowledge provided by Technocamps are used in your field or day-to-day work?

I use Excel regularly to collate data and generate reports and responses to freedom of information requests. I have learned some great techniques to do this more efficiently and reliably. Regarding GenAI, I have a deeper understanding of how it works and feel more confident using it for my work and, specifically, understanding how students are using it and how the University should best respond to this in terms of academic integrity and misconduct.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would add that the delivery of both courses was excellent – very engaging and supportive. I will certainly look out for any other short courses of this kind as it offers a real opportunity to gain very useful and much needed skills. Thank you so much!
