Sa’ad is Senior Lecturer at Bangor University. His research expertise lies mainly in the modelling and analysis of complex systems, and computer networks.
Much of the emphasis of his work has been on compartmental modelling and the application of techniques in system dynamics, non-linear systems, and control theory. His research has been performed in close collaboration with academic and industrial research groups across Europe. He has been involved in Technocamps since its creation.
Alex is the Technocamps Regional Coordinator based at Bangor University, responsible for delivering and managing Technocamps’ activity in North Wales.
He has worked in the IT industry and as a curriculum leader in secondary education. More recent national and regional roles involved supporting schools with ‘Hwb’ - the national digital learning platform, the Digital Competence Framework and the ‘Cracking the Code’ programme. Alex is particularly interested in using physical computing to encourage youngsters into Computer Science and STEM.
Dr. Dave Perkins
Dave was the first coordinator of the Bangor regional hub of Technocamps and has since moved to Director of T&L in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.
His background is in electronic engineering though heavily based in physics with his PhD being on the determination of nonlinear modulation response of semiconductor laser diodes by quadrature detection.
Ceri is the Senior Clerical Support Officer for Technocamps at Bangor University.
Her background is in Residential Lettings and Office Management. Her organisational skills allow the smooth running of the project within the Bangor hub.
Lois is a Maths graduate from Swansea University, and also a qualified teacher. She has vast experience of teaching maths and computing to secondary school pupils, and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
Outside of work, Lois enjoys walking and pub quizzes.
Daniel is a Technocamps Senior Ambassador and a BSc Computer Information Systems student at Bangor University.
Daniel is responsible for managing and delivering the TechnoClubs in the North Region and also assists in various other workshops that Technocamps offer. Daniel is also a STEM Ambassador and enjoys spending time playing online computer games and socialising with friends in his free time.
Megan is a Technocamps Delivery Officer based at Bangor. She is a Bangor University graduate and has a Primary Education Degree. She enjoys learning and teaching about technology.
In her free time she is interested in 3D modelling and printing, programming and reading. She enjoys playing games and trying to set cool scores.
