Last month, practitioners and educators from across Wales attended our Professional Learning Events held at Technocamps HQ and Sketty Business Hall. These events provided practitioners and educators with hands-on, bilingual resources aligned with the Curriculum for Wales.
Informative, engaging session with hands-on experiences and examples of learning we can use.

In our Primary sessions, practitioners explored the fantastic features of the BBC micro:bit and how they can create engaging, cross-curricular learning experiences through practical activities. Secondary practitioners developed their skills in Python programming and GUI design with Tkinter, gaining essential knowledge to support the new GCSE Computer Science curriculum in Wales.
Without Technocamps I would not be able to keep up with the coding skills I need to teach the pupils. – Secondary School Practitioner
Attendees left with ready-to-use resources, fresh ideas, and inspiration for embedding digital technology in the classroom. These events are at the core of what we do and are crucial in equipping teachers with the skills they need to excel in teaching the curriculum. Sadly, due to recent funding decisions, this marks the final series of our annual practitioner events for the foreseeable future. Our Patron, Beti Williams, has shared more details on the funding changes.
Very informative and a much-needed PL session to aid with the delivery of the new course.
